Fire on the Terraces
A somber, prehistoric mood settles over the thermal highlands as thick blankets of sulfurous steam rise lazily from cascading stone steps. Sculpted over millennia by mineral-rich waters, the undulating travertine terraces glow in striking shades of burnt orange and ivory, contrasting sharply with the bleak, dark volcanic earth.
