Shadows of the Primeval

A quiet power moves through the frozen understory of Central Europe's remaining old-growth forests, navigating a landscape locked in seasonal transition. Emerging cautiously onto a snow-dusted, rocky slope, a young brown bear searches for late-season forage as the final light of day bleeds across the mountain range. The setting sun punches a golden-crimson beam through a dense tangle of bare beech branches, casting an intense, fiery glow onto the background trees and painting a warm rim of light across the predator’s coarse, damp coat as it steps into the shadows of an ancient wilderness.
