A majestic pair of alpine survivors overlooks a vast, subterranean world from a high-altitude ridge, standing as witnesses to the breaking dawn of Central Europe. Perched on a steep, wind-swept slope carpeted in frosted subalpine grasses and moss-covered stones, the animals are bathed in the soft, warm rose-gold glow of an early morning sun. Below their craggy sanctuary, an immense, dense river of inversion fog rolls through the mountain valleys like a silent oceanic tide, swallowing the ancient forests and distant foothills whole, leaving only the rugged, vertical peaks to puncture the pale dawn sky.
