Wild Garden of Gondwana
Tucked into a mist-shrouded plateau where the air tastes of ancient rains, a vibrant community of highland flora thrives in chaotic perfection. A brilliant orb of candle-like florets beams a fiery coral-red against its tough, saw-toothed foliage, standard-bearer for a prehistoric landscape unchanged by the passage of centuries. Nearby, the architectural, overlapping rosettes of statuesque giant grass trees mingle with velvet mounds of glowing chartreuse moss and fine alpine sedges. In this saturated mountain sanctuary, every pocket of dark, peaty soil overflows with life, holding fast against the bracing southern winds that periodically sweep down from the jagged peaks above.
